Vitamin E is important to help maintain healthy eyes, as well as healthy skin and a strong immune system. Vitamin E refers to a family of compounds that revolve around alpha-tocopherol. The family can be divided into two groups: tocopherols and tocotrienols. In total we have eight forms of Vitamin E, four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta) and four tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta).

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means you don’t have to take it every day because it keeps in your liver until you need it.

The European Food Safety Authority recommends 11 mg for women and 13 mg for men per day.

  • Almonds
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Avocado
  • Mango
  • Kiwi
